General Information

TYPICAL CLASS + REQUIREMENTS

All classes ages 8+ are about 50+ minutes long except the (Young Superheroes ages 5-7 class that has a duration of 45 minutes , & the Superheroes in Training Ages 3-5 that lasts 30 minutes) and are supervised by a Revolution Parkour Academy instructor who are ACE certified in CPR and First Aid.  Our classes are set up so that the students warm up for 10 minutes, move to the days instruction, and then followed by a cool down. Some classes allow for free time.

*For all classes, please make sure to arrive on time, if you arrive late and your student misses the warm up,  you will have to reschedule the class. This is done for safety reasons.

Waiver must be completed prior to attending class, if under 18 years old, waiver must be completed by the minor’s parent or legal guardian *No exceptions*

Age Restrictions

Classes: Students must be 8 years or older to participate in classes. Students must be able to follow instructions, willing to participate in the warm up, work out, lesson and not be a distraction in class. See class schedule for age limitations specific to individual classes.

Young Superheroes class for ages 5-7 & Superheroes in Training for ages 3-5,for this class schedule and info please look at the services tab under parkour for ages 3-7

Students need to wear comfortable clothing , tennis shoes and bring a water bottle.

Open Gym: Students must be 13+ years or ages 8+ with a membership and are working on things they've learned in class.  See class schedule for age limitations specific to individual open gyms.


Class Descriptions

BEGINNER PARKOUR

Focus on basic parkour techniques through technical instruction including strong focus on safety.

BEGINNER PARKOUR II

The second step of your parkour journey.

Beginner Parkour II pre-requisites:

  • Parkour Roll (Both Sides)

  • Vaults: Safety (Step Vault) (Both Sides), Lazy, Speed Lazy (Thief), Reverse

  • 5' Wall Climb

  • Kickstop

  • Underbar

  • 4' Precision on Green Blocks

  • Knowledge of how to perform a Kong Vault

  • Knowledge of the Running, Standing, and Plyo Take Offs

  • Knowledge of how to perform a Cat

  • Interest in progressing and getting better at parkour!

OPEN GYM

Learn something in class that you want to practice? This is your time to share the gym and work on what you want. All Open Gyms are supervised by an instructor and require a certain level of situational awareness in order to maintain a safe training environment. 

You must be 13 or older or ages 8+ member and actively taking classes to be able to participate in Open gym.

Open Gym is a time to practice and NOT to goof off. 

BEGINNER FLIPS

Take this class to learn front flips, side flips, palm spins, vaulting flips, and variations of flips and spins.   All beginners welcome!

BEGINNER FLOW

This Beginner II class focuses on the fluidity of movement.  Taking your knowledge of parkour movement, we learn how to transition from one to the next through this flow based class!

PARKOUR COURSEWORK

Start your journey towards training like David Belle and getting ready for our Parcours class.  This class is to practice your techniques in a coursework environment.  Less focus on learning new techniques and more focus on longer obstacle courses.  Recommended for students who have been taking Beginner Parkour classes and are comfortable with basic vaults, rolls, climb-ups, and dismounts.   

PARKOUR FUNDAMENTALS

Designed for those new to movement.  Focus on basic low-impact parkour techniques and fundamental strength development for parkour.  

INTERMEDIATE PARKOUR

Continue technical instruction, learn advanced movements, build strength, and begin fluidity.

Prerequisites: Pass Seasonal Trials Level 1 or receive instructor approval.

INTERMEDIATE PARKOUR II

Incorporating intermediate & advanced parkour concepts including supplemental movement skills, mental acuity, fluidity, focus, and performance training.

Prerequisites: Pass Seasonal Trials Level 3 or receive instructor approval.

PARCOURS

Train like David Belle in this dynamic parkour class. Train for distance, performance, endurance and speed by traversing challenging courses and sharpening parkour techniques. This class is typically 3 separate obstacles where the practitioner tries to complete as many laps as they can within a time limit before rotating to the next obstacle.

Prerequisites: Taking Beginner Parkour II classes at a minimum. The range of the class is from Beginner PK II to Advanced PK II.

PK GAMES

A class packed with games and obstacle courses designed to augment your parkour training and overall have fun!

Prerequisites: None. A good attitude helps!

FREERUNNING

A freerunning class for those that have the foundational tools from parkour and are prepared to push themselves in an area of expression beyond efficiency. We have a regularly scheduled freerunning class once a week.

TERMINOLOGY

Traceur - Male practitioner of parkour.
Traceuse - Female practitioner of parkour.
*Tracer - Both male and female practitioners.
